How to Annotate PDF
PDNob PDF Editor offers a complete set of annotation tools to help you review, highlight, and communicate ideas more effectively. From quick comments to detailed markups, you can add notes, emphasize key content, and visually organize feedback with ease.
1. Add Comments (Text, Note, Text Box)
Use comments to leave feedback, explanations, or suggestions directly on the document. PDNob supports multiple comment styles for different scenarios.

Text Box (Typewriter)
Go to the Comment tab and select the Text tool. Click anywhere on the page and start typing inline.

Sticky Note
Select the Note icon, then click on the page to place it. Enter your message in the pop-up window without covering the original content.
Click any comment to move, edit, or delete it using the quick action menu.
2. Text Markups (Highlight, Underline, Strikethrough)
Text markup tools help you emphasize key content or indicate revisions clearly.
- Open the Comment tab.
- Select Highlight, Underline, or Strikethrough.

Highlight
Select a color, then drag across text to mark important sections.

Underline
Drag across text to underline keywords or phrases.

Strikethrough
Mark text for removal or revision with a single drag action.
Press Ctrl + Z anytime to undo the last action.
3. Add Shapes (Rectangle, Oval, Line, Arrow)
Shapes help visually highlight areas or guide attention within a document.
- Go to Comment → Shape.
- Select a shape (Rectangle, Oval, Line, Arrow).
- Click and drag on the page to draw.
Click the shape to adjust color, border, and opacity via Properties.
4. Add Stickers
Stickers provide a quick, visual way to react or highlight content in collaborative or informal workflows.
- Open the Comment tab.
- Click Sticker and choose a style.
- Click on the page to place it.
Resize or reposition stickers freely after placement.
5. Add Stamps
Use stamps to label document status or workflow stages quickly.
- Click Stamp in the Comment toolbar.
- Select from built-in options like Approved, Draft, or Confidential.
- Click on the page to insert the stamp.
6. Hide or Remove Annotations
Manage document clarity by hiding or deleting annotations when needed.
- Toggle annotation visibility from the View settings to hide all comments.
- Right-click any annotation and select Delete to remove it permanently.
Use Ctrl + Z to undo recent deletions.
7. Comment Properties
Customize annotations to match your workflow or highlight importance.
- Right-click an annotation and select Properties.
- Adjust text color, border style, thickness, and opacity.
Settings can be reused for consistent annotation styles across your document.
