How to Fix iPhone Disabled Won’t Connect to iTunes

My child has disabled my iPhone 6s Plus by trying to unlock it several times. It says to connect to iTunes however overtime I try it says it "Cannot connect because value is missing"? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?”

Step 1: Check for iTunes Update

For iPhone 8 and 8 Plus and iPhone X

For iPhone 7 and 7 Plus

iPhone 7 has a physical Home button, so, it will be easier for you to reach Recovery Mode.

Step 1: First, you have to turn off your device and connect with iTunes.

Step 2: Then tap and hold the Power button along with Volume Down for a few seconds.

Step 3: Release when you see Recovery Mode screen.

For iPhone 6s or earlier

This is the most straightforward method; the turn off sequence is the same.

Step 1: Connect the device to iTunes.

Step 2: After connecting you can press the Home button and Power button together.

Step 3: Put iPhone into DFU Mode

DFU stands for Device Firmware Update. This mode puts your device in such a state where it can directly integrate with iTunes. No operating system will be loaded in this mode. It will be very effective if you don’t know how to connect iPhone to iTunes when disabled.

Step 1: Find a USB cable and connect the disabled iPhone to your computer.

Step 2: Run the iTunes app.

For iPhone 7/7 Plus users, replace the Home button with Volume Down button. iPhone X/8/8 Plus users, please turn off your device and press the Side button for 3 seconds. Then, hold down the Volume down button along with Side button for 10 seconds. Let go of the Side button but keep holding the Volume down button for about 5 seconds and you will enter DFU Mode.

When you are in the DFU Mode, the screen will be completely black. Now iTunes will take over and return a pop message saying iTunes has detected an iPhone in Recovery mode.

Step 4: Unlock Disabled First then Connect Again
