At Apple's October 16 media event, Apple showed off thinner iPad Air 2, iPad Mini 3 with Touch ID finger print sensors and iMacs with 5K high resolution display.

Meanwhile, OS X 10.10 Yosemite free download is available since the October 16 event. Yosemite ties iOS and OS X together and there are top 4 things to expect from OS X and iOS continuity.

iPad Air 2 VS iPad Mni 3: What's the Difference?

iPad Air 2 is just 6.1mm thick, an 18% reduction on the already skinny iPad Air, making it the thinnest tablet in the world. Apple has more tightly bonded the layers of glass as part of the weight loss. The Air 2 will arrive with the add of gold color as well as Touch ID Home button.

iPad Mini 3 resembles iPad Mini 2 a lot, as nothing changed in designs and dimensions. One small visual change is you can now get the iPad mini 3 in gold as well as space gray and silver and the add of Touch ID.

Both iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 are scheduled to release in late November. Before its release, you can follow me and get to know them. The 2 newly unveiled iPads have significant differences in designs, processors, prices, etc. Here's a comparison list for your information.

In addition to the iPad lineup, Apple also introduced the new 27-inch iMac with Retina 5K Display. Starting at $2499, the new iMac is an addition to the previous lineup and includes a 5120 x 2880 display.

The iMac Retina 5K's screen measures 27 inches diagonally and boasts a resolution of 5,120×2,880 pixels. That's 14.7 million pixels laid out across a massive screen: 7 times more than a 1080p HDTV and 67% more than the latest Ultra HD 4K television sets. Even so, Apple says the new screen uses 30% less energy than that of the regular 27-inch iMac, which has a resolution of 2,560×1,440 pixels.
