At the long-expected iPhone 5S launch event, Apple finally unveiled iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C. Apple also announced the iOS 7 release date for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
Tim Cook is on stage live from Cupertino, California, to reveal the latest iPhones, and iOS 7 software. Below are some of the details of devices announced at the Sep 10 press event.
The 5S will receive upgrades to the camera, a faster A7 processor with M7 coprocessor, and the option to unlock your phone or make iTunes purchases with a fingerprint identity sensor. The device will be available in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK.
The sale of iPhone 5S starts from September 20, and they will be available from the Apple Online Store, Apple's retail stores, and through AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, as well as select Apple authorized resellers.
The 5C will be available in five colors and boasts many of the same features as the iPhone 5.
You may pre-order the iPhone 5c starting on September 13. It also will be on sale September 20 in the Apple Online Store, Apple's retail stores, and through AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, as well as select Apple authorized resellers.
Apple will roll out iOS 7 on September 18th.Users can plug into a computer and then update through iTunes or head into the device's settings to update to iOS 7 when it's available. It's important to know that iOS is not available on all iOS devices. iOS 7 can be run on iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch fifth-gen, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4 and last year's iPad mini.
