Easy Ways to Put iPhone into Restore Mode

If you have been using iPhone or any iOS devices then you must have used the Recovery Mode or at least know about it. Way 2: Put iPhone in Restore Mode using Buttons

Now, the old button mashing method of iPhones to enter Restore Mode, in a way is very simple, but some users get in trouble while switching from one button to another. Also, remembering the button combination is a very hectic job too as it is not the same for every iPhone. Nevertheless here are the sequences:

For iPhone XS/X/8:

These are the latest models of iPhones and they are not manufactured with a physical Home button. So, the sequence for Restore Mode is very different for them.

Step 1: Turn off the iPhone and then connect it to the computer via USB cable, then run iTunes.

Step 2: iTunes will detect the device immediately and then tap the Volume Up and then tap the Volume Down key quickly one at a time.

For iPhone 7/7 Plus:

Step 1: First, turn off the device.

Step 2: Next, tap and hold the Home button and connect the iPhone 6 to the computer and make sure that iTunes is running.

Step 3: Leave the button when you see "Connect to iTunes" screen.
