Part 3: iPadOS 17 Top New Features
Before you install the new update, you must be wondering what new features you should anticipate.
Well, there are quite a lot of new changes in this update. Here’s our list of the top features.
#1. Lock Screen
Apple introduced lock screen customizations for iOS last year with iOS 16. But the same customizations were not introduced for iPadOS with iPadOS 16.
Now, with iPadOS 17, Apple is finally fixing that and bringing the same customizations to your iPad.
With iPadOS 17, you can make all sorts of customizations to your lock screen, like changing the fonts, adding depth effects to subjects, changing the colors of wallpapers, adding widgets, and more.
#2. iMessage
Apple is adding the same set of iMessage features to iPadOS 17 that it’s also adding to iOS 17.
There’s a new updated, compact UI. You can swipe right on a message to quickly reply to it. You can create and send custom stickers. You can automatically tell your friends and family when you’ve reached your destination using the new Check-In feature, and a lot more.
#3. FaceTime
When you FaceTime someone and they don’t pick up the call, now you can leave them a video message which they can check out later.
This is amazing for situations when you need to tell them something important.
#4. PDF Editor
Apple has now added every feature of a PDF editor right into iPadOS.
That means you don’t need a PDF editor anymore to make changes to your PDF files. Plus, the new editor also supports AutoFill. This means if you want to fill out a form inside a PDF, you can do that automatically using the information stored in your iCloud.
#5. Improved Keyboard
Apple has upgraded the reliability of iOS and iPadOS keyboard in the new update.
There’s a new machine learning model that learns your writing style and improves your autocorrection. This should make your typing experience a lot better in iPadOS 17.
