Summary: This post will introduce an easy & safe way to downgrade iOS 11.2.5 beta and go back to latest official release without iTunes by using a third-party app – Tenorshare ReiBoot.
Apple has seeded iOS 11.2.5 beta 4 with bug fixes and performance improvements. Hence, some users do not find obvious changes in the new beta. Instead, some iPhone 5s/6 users found their devices being slower after installing the beta, and a clicking haptic bug was reported on some iPhone X devices when dismissing control center. If you do not find the highlights in the beta version or are experiencing a bug on the beta, I will suggest you downgrade iOS 11.2.5 and go back to official release iOS 11.2.1.
When talking about downgrading iOS to a previous official version, iTunes is not the best recommended way, as you have to download & import the firmware by yourself and iTunes is so unpredictable that your iPhone may stuck on recovery mode or black screen during the downgrade process. I will recommend downgrading using Tenorshare ReiBoot to remove a beta version from iPhone X/8/7/6s/6, or iPad/iPod and install the official version. You do not need to download firmware beforehand, and no stuck or data loss occurs.
Install Tenorshare ReiBoot on your PC/Mac, and connect your iOS device to computer. Choose Fix All iOS Stuck > Fix Now (All iOS 11 Stuck).
You’ll enter the firmware download interface. Click Download button to download the auto-detected latest iOS firmware package online.
After downloading the firmware package, you can wait for the program to remove beta version and install official version to your iPhone/iPad. The process takes 10 minutes around.
After system recovery, the beta version will be removed and your iPhone goes back to iOS 11.2.1. More iOS downgrade tips and tricks can refer here.
