How to Use iPhone 6 Data Recovery for Mac

Step 2: Start Scanning Selectively

When this software detects your iPhone, it will show you the interface that can scan file types selectively as follows. Click "Start scan"to scan all the file types. Or uncheck some options to scan part of the file types for less time.

Step 3: Preview Data on iPhone

After scanning finished, the lost data and current data will be displayed by category. At this time, what you can see are the selected file types and the file types that have not been selected are invisible. Select one file type on the left pane and preview the files on right pane. Check the files you need to recover.

Click "Recover" to specify a location on your Mac to save the recovered data. Text files like contacts, call history, notes will be saved in .xls, .txt, .xlm (contacts can be saved as .vcf/vCard as well). And media files like photos, videos, audios will be saved in their original formats.

This mode helps you to restore iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus data from iTunes backup. It won't require connecting your device to computer. That's to say -- even your iPhone is broken, damaged, or lost, or iTunes can't recognize your iPhone, you can restore data from iTunes backup.

Note: Don't sync your device with iTunes as soon as you find you've lost data. Otherwise, the iTunes backup of your iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus will be updated after the sync.

Step 1: Select iTunes Backup File to Scan

Select "Recover Data from iTunes Backup File" by clicking the iTunes logo on the top. This software will automatically find and list all iTunes backup file of your device which has been backed up on this Mac. Select your iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus backup and click "Start Scan".

Recover iPhone 6/iPhone 6 Plus Data from iCloud Backup

If you have backed up your iPhone data with iCloud, you can restore data from iCloud backup as well.

Step 1: Log into iCloud

Switch to "Recover Data from iCloud Backup File" by clicking the iCloud logo from the top menu. Enter your iCloud account (Apple ID) and password, and then click "Sign in". If you've logged in to iCloud on your computer before, you can switch to Software Access which enables you to log in automatically and saves you the process of entering your Apple ID.

Step 2: Select iCloud Backup File

When you successfully log into iCloud account, this software will list all the iCloud backup of devices which have been backed up with this iCloud account. Select the backup file according to the backup name, backup data, backup size and iOS version. Click "Next" to download this backup file to your computer.

1: If you failed to download the firmware online, you can click Copy button to download through browser.
