How to Use Tenorshare Photo Recovery for Mac

Tenorshare Photo Recovery for Mac provide solutions to help you recover deleted, formatted, corrupted photos, videos, audios and documents from Mac-based hard drive, digital camera, mobile phone, memory card, SD card and etc.

Here is a user guide on how to use Tenorshare Photo Recovery for Mac. This Mac Photo Recovery program is easy to navigate and use with only 3 steps: Select ->Preview ->Recover. To recover lost photos or other files from portable device, you need to connect it to your Mac in advance.

Step 1: Select a Recovery Mode

Launch this Photo Recovery Software. Haven't installed? Go to download it firstly.

Note: Don't install it on the volume where you lost your files.

This software offers 2 recovery modes: "Lost Recovery" and "RAW Recovery". They just differ from scan mode, but the steps are the same.

Step 2: Choose a Volume where Your Lost Files Located

This program will list all the volumes on your Mac and detected portable devices, select the one where your lost files located. Specify the file type your need to recover to save the scanning time. Click "Scan" to proceed.

In the process of scan, if you need to pause just click "Pause" button. Or if you have already found the files that you need, you can click "Stop" button to stop the scanning, and go direct to the next step.

Step 3: Select the Files You Need to Recover

After scanning, all the recoverable in the selected volume are displayed in a tree-like file directory. Before recovery, you can preview photos, audios to check whether they are the ones you need. Tick the one you want to recover and hit "Recover".

Note:
  • 1. For Lost Recovery mode, the scanned files are categorized by file name. While the scanned files for Raw Recovery are categorized by numbers.
  • 2. If you remember the file name, you can enter it directly in the right-corner blank to save time.

Step 4: Save the Recovered Files

Enter or specify a location on your Mac to save the recovered photos, videos, or other files. Here you should note: We highly suggest that you should select a directory that is located in a different partition from the source partition.
