Download and install Tenorshare Music Cleanup for Mac on your computer. Music Cleanup has 2 music cleanup modes; the default mode is "iTunes Music Clean".
Directly click "Start Scan" to scan the whole iTunes library to identify all the undefined songs and find duplicates.
Switch the button to the "Local Music Clean" on the top right corner of the interface. Then directly drag the music files or folders to the program, or click "Open File" to import them.
After importing music files, the program will automatically sort out duplicated songs and unidentified songs. Click "Unidentified Songs" on the category list and you will find a list of songs missing some information.
Select one item, and then on the right of the interface information about this item will appear. Now you can either let Music Cleanup for Mac identify the music info automatically or manually edit the music information.
Click "Identify" in the status bar to let Music Cleanup for Mac to intelligently find all the artist info, album artwork, song name, genre, year, etc. After checking the information, click "Apply". Then all the info will be added to the music files.
Click the Pencil icon shown in the following picture and you can start to edit the music information in any way you want.
Click "Duplicated Songs" and you will see all the repeated items. Choose one song and all files of the same music will show up in the right column. Check those you want to get rid of and click "Clear Duplicate". (Usually the music file with higher quality will be put a tick and the lower quality will be put a cross.) Click "Clear all Duplicate" to delete all If you have multiple duplicates for this song.
